Does IBD / IBS damage the villi of the intestine?

If so would this induce food intolerance?

Is this damage reversible?

If so what supplement is most useful in healing the villi? L-gluatmine?

With thanks,

If this website is to be graced by mention of a football club i would only mention Manchester United - the greatest their ever was, is and ever will be sporting entity in the Universe! I shudder when I think that some of the forum members don't know who Rooney and Ronaldo are!!

This is funny! My thread has turned into a sports issue. I'll say this

"Football (or saaaaaawker as our american friends say). The game of billions".

Hi

Damo - I googled villi as I had never heard of them!  And it seems that it is celiacs who can suffer damaged villi as a result of the gluten/lactose intolerance.  The damage occurs in the small intestine so logic would suggest that the colon wouldn't be affected.  But worth checking out with your doc and letting us know!

Jerry Garcia - of course rugby! Whatever else could it have been?  :-)
