Can anyone please tell me if they are on this and if it's working for them?

I have been looking through the threads here for as much information as possible. I am due to start this treatment tomorrow. Would love any feedback anyone has.

Thank you so much!

I have been on the Humira for 3 weeks. Following each injection day, I have had the best 3-4 days since Thanksgiving and then thing return to the way they have been. Still in a flare but the my stools are formed and the blood and mucous is less evident.

My next injection is on the 15th. Hoping for the right reaction.

Good luck to you...

Thank you for your reply. I did start Humira yesterday. We'll see how it goes.
I also had to be bumped up on the Prednisone again because of the flare I was having. It was way to much blood, in my opinion and I was in the bathroom like 10 times a day or more.
The nurse who helped me yesterday told me that it does take a bit longer for the Humira to work vs. Remicade.....I guess I will wait to see what happens.

Hi, I have taken 3 doses so it's been about 7 weeks since I started it. I have less bleeding most of the time since but I have yet to see a huge improvement bm wise. I am still hoping for the best. Hope it goes well for you.

My husband has been on Humira for about 3 months. Usually the first couple of days he sees improvement (i.e. less blood and less bowels), but then his symptoms return. He's not on predisone and his doctor wants him to get on that along with Humira. So maybe that combo. will work for you.

Also, my husband's doc. told him Remicade is the "golden drug" for UC patients, however Humira is better out of the two as far as side effects. Humira has less side effects.

Good luck and hope this drug works for you!
