I'm going on a quick car trip from Kansas to Tennessee this weekend for my Father-in-law's 80th birthday party. Leaving Friday morning and returning Saturday night - with 4 grandkids under the age of 8.
I'm stressin' because my gut is telling me that it wants to go, too. I'm going to load myself up with my entire medicine chest. How often can I take Imodium before I put myself in danger?

Not sure about the imodium, but if I was in a medium or bad flare and using lomotil I may wake up and take 2 a couple of hours before leaving, then another one half way there.
I have a pre-trip routine anytime I am gonna be in the car for more than an hour. I HATE TRAVELING IN THE MORNINGS, but if I do I give myself 3 hours wakeup/bathroom/me time. If I have to be somewhere at 7am, I am up at 4am. I eat something light as soon as my feet hit the floor, after a bm or two I may use a little of a hydrocort enema to soothe any inflammation. I take a lomotil 1 1/2 hour before leaving. No food during car trip unless its just a good day and I haven't had alot of problems recently. Lomotil 4 hours in. I live in Dickson Tennessee, so I'll be traveling 7 1/2 hours to WV over upcoming holiday weekend.
