HI,  I wrote a few weeks ago that I was having pain around my waist area.  Doc did a CT Scan and an ultra sound and they came back OK.  Still complaining of the pain he did that test where he goes down your throat to look into the stomach.  Turms out I have ulcers in my stomach and small intestines.  He put me on Nexium.  The good news is that the Nexium is working but not only that, my UC is the calmest it's been in months.  I haven't had a flare since March.  This is the longest I have been able to go without a flare-up.  Quincy told me to taper offf my meds slowly and I think that really helped me.  It's such a good feeling to feel good.  Hopefully I can stay in this calm zone for awhile.  I'm loving it!!!
Now if I can get my Hubby well we'll be all set.  Kevin has prostate cancer.  He goes in for a 3-D mapping of the prostate gland tomorrow. This will show exactly where the cancer is.  Following that in about 2 weeks he'll have the cancer cells frozen.  Keep him in your prayers.  Loving you guys for all your support.  Arlene

Hi Arlene......wow, great to hear you're doing so much better!!
Regarding new found ulcers in your stomach and small intestine..is the doc suggesting you might have CD? Did he do a breath test for h. pylori or take biopsies/swabs of them?

It's good the Nexium is giving you relief....

I hope your husband's prostate treatment goes without a hitch and that it zaps those dang cancer cells completely for good!!!

Healing wishes sent your way,
quincy xx

hi quincy...so good to feel good. doc did biopsies of the ulcers. It was not h.pylori. I was kind of hoping for that because I could take antibiotics and maybe they would be gone. Nexium is working so far. Like you say "This is treating both ends". Thanks for the good wishes. lenie
