I'm part of the Hemmie Club, thankfully, it doesnt bother me.
I want to remove it though, so i dont have to worry abt it acting up or developing a clot, thrombosing, prolapsing and all that jazz.
(I hear rubber band ligation is the safest route)
I'm curious if anyone has gotten one removed even if it didnt bother you.

Nope. In fact, even the big one I had that did bother me from time to time I never had fixed. Finally, when I was at the worst of my flare, it opened and drained one day. I was bleeding and hurting so much already, I didn't even notice when it happened, but later noticed it was gone.

Cheaper than surgery.

Nope. I had a thrombosed hemmie. I actually met with the surgeon per my doc's instructions and the surgeon said he would remove it but I should just let it go away. It went away less than two weeks later. I know everyone is different though. Good luck!

I wish I would have.  I had one thrombose and it was excruciating.  They thought I had Crohns and nobody wanted to operate so I was hospitalized for a week before they figured it wasn't going away and removed it surgically.  Then they told me horror stories like it might never heal but it did.  It took a long time though.  I guess if you're really worried I'd have it removed.  Hopefully someone who had it done when they were okay will answer you so you'll have a better idea of what to expect.  I'm sure banding can't be as bad as surgery.  Good luck.
