Has anybody gotten allergy shots? I would like to get them for my bee sting allergy. If you have gotten them, how do they affect your colitis? Is there any relationship between the two at all?
Thanks so much!

I am currently taking allergy drops (sublingual immunotherapy), which are similar to allergy shots, only they are liquid that you drop under your tongue three times a day. They haven't affected my colitis at all. I've been taking them for almost a year now. I take them for animal dander and mold allergies. I asked my allergist if they would affect my UC and he said if anything, they might help.

I had them as a little kid but I didn't have UC then. I'm thinking I'm probably going to have to start again because I can barely function
