Stupid, stupid me.  I used to take the Viactiv calcium chews, but got sick of the taste of them.  Saw something new in the store "Viactiv glides"  so I gave it a shot, like it better than the chews.  Been taking them around 3 months or so, I just looked at the bottle to see how much Vitamin D is with it, and I noticed that they are not calcium, but instead they are a multi vitamin.  So, for 3 months or so I have been taking this, along with another multi vitamin.  This only contains 200 mg of calcium, which I know is no big deal,  I'll just make sure I get the calcium that I should be taking.  But, boy do I feel stupid, I've been taking these for 3 whole months and didn't realize they weren't calcium with D.............Duh

Aaahhh! Don't you HATE when that happens?!?! I've had a few space-cadet issues - which I can't even remember right now...

My fav calcium supplement is Adora. Anything chocolate HAS to be good, right??? I did go several months without taking any supplements though. I just got sick of taking pills - knew I had to stick with the Asacol and Imuran, but dropped most everything else. Got a good lecture from my GI about that... The whole osteopenia, pred, calcium thing.

So, while taking the extra multi-vitamin, did you notice any difference? More energy?

No, I didn't notice any more energy. The good thing is that I'm not on pred, so I don't have to worry too much about the fact that I wasn't getting enough calcium. I'm starting to wonder if the first bottle I bought was actually calcium. It was vanilla flavor, but I kind of gagged on them, so the next time I bought the berry flavor, which is much better. I just looked on the website for viactiv, apparently they have the calcium in the vanilla. So, maybe the first bottle was calcium. The bottle is the same color (purple) the same shape, size and everything. I wonder........
