it did help with me. i took lexapro for a year and my stomach was great.  they think there is a realtionship between anxiety and stomach problems.  it makes sense.

Not sure about the antidepressant, but I take Compazine as needed for stomach upset/anxiety. It works great for me and also helped me chill out when on prednisone. Maybe an as-needed anxiety med may be better that something you have to take every day? Good luck!
Tressa 34 (F)

i agree.  when i went off lexapro my doc prescribed xanax to take as needed for anxiety.  you don't really ever need to take it, but when you're in a stressful situation it really really helps calm me down.  i find high stress and stomach problems for me have a direct correlation.

I took Sinequan which is an older antid and it helped me sleep (I had severe insomnia) and it slows down your gut too.  I did gain weight on it but I needed to cause I had lost so much weight.  I stopped taking it in '06 and just recently started on a low dose (10mg) for sleep.  HTH.
