I have always been slender and after UC I got way to skinny. I am still in size 32x34 jeans and I was sooo happy to find two pairs of khakis in the whole mall yesterday. I never can find any that size. I am too tall and skinny...
With my "healthy" diet of little fat and little calories it will be hard for me to gain weight. I am going to have to get into remission and stay there. I know a healthy person can gain weight with a diet like mine b/c you all shoud see my little 2 year old daughter she a lil chunkster.lol.

I had this problem after my first flare. I was short and super skinny. Finding clothes that fit was miserable. I was able to slowly gain weight by eating 6 meals a day. I also drank Carnation Instant Breakfast w/ Lactaid milk twice a day. Have you considered seeing a nutritionist?

Find a good tailor. It's not a way to gain weight but your pants won't fall down in the meantime. Tailoring a pair of khakis will run you just a few bucks. It's really not that expensive, just takes a bit of time.

Have you check organic or health stores for a shake or drink that can help? one without the sugars and such that would go against your diet?

They need to make those adjustable waist bands for adults w/ UC!! (those of you with kids will know what I'm talking about). So when we go in and out of remission, up & down in weight, we can wear the same clothes! :)

Shop the juniors department. They have unbelievably small sizes in pants and jeans. I usually have to buy a size 9 or 11 and I wear a 4-6 in misses. Gap has some khakis that run really small, too.
