Its been soooo long since I last came on here and said hello - in fact it was to tell you allIw as exepcting my first baby so that must have been late last year (how times flies!).

I only have 8 weeks left before the new arrival lands all being well, so I thought I should come back and post before I forget again.

I thought that having the UC would make this pregnancy really difficult and my bowel nurse said that things can either go one way or the other.  As it happens, being pregnant and has quite possibly been the best thing for me EVER!  I had some cramps early on and was worried they would continue but I have had nothing since, and I have actually been having 1 solid bowel movement each day like I used to have years and years ago.  Its been quite amazing for me really.

I was on the asacol, azathioprine and mebeverine, but after discussions I decided to take only teh Azathioprine and asacol once a day instead of 3 times.  My memory has been pretty slack to say the least and there have been many days when I have forgotten to take anything at all - I didnt really like having to take tablets throughout the pregancy - but everything seems to have been fine.  Obviously I will have to see how things go after the birth, but if I dont get on here before I will let you know once she arrives!!!

Sending lots of hugs to everyone here!!!!!!  yeah
