best time to take meds

Hi need a bit of advice,am still very new to all this only diagnosed thurs and then started on meds,my problem is i am back at work today and work nights 12hr shifts 8-8 have been doing predfoam twice a day morning and before i go to bed.the tabs are no problem as i can take them with me so do you think it would be better to do rectals just after my dinner or just before going to work.I work in a nursing home so dashing to the toilet is not a problem just wondering when the best time to take them would be they seem to be working so i don't wont to muck anything up HELP. yeah

Hi, lambkins, and welcome to HealingWell. Generally with twice a day medications, the closer you can get to 12 hours between doses, the better they'll work. It sort of depends on your sleeping hours, but shortly before you go to bed is usually one good time, then as close to we hours later as you can get and still be at home, maybe?

Hi...do them in "your" morning and "your" bedtime...whatever it will be according to "your" shift. Not necessarily the time, but the shift, going to bed and getting up..etc.

*Heather*Status: mini flare Dec 28... tapered to every 4th night
~diagnosed January 1989 UC (proctosigmoiditis)
~5ASA: Asacol (6 daily) + Salofalk enemas (increase for flares tapered to maintenance)
~Bentylol (dicyclomine) 20mg as needed

~multi-digestive enzymes as needed ....zymactive 3 - 5x daily
~Ranitidine,Pariet (reflux) Effexor XR 75mg;  Pulmicort/Airomir (asthma)
~URSO for PSC (or PBC) 500mg X 2 daily (LFTs back to NORMAL!!)
My doc's logic.. "TREAT (FROM)BOTH ENDS"  worth it !!!

I agree with quincy and Judy. I usually take mine after breakfast and before bed. I always take the foam before bed.
