Hmm I think that would be a question for your derm or pharmacist. Our family doc wanted my son to start on that because he is 16 and is already balding (hereditary) but both she and our pharm told us that would be something he had to be on for the rest of his life. Because genetic hairloss can not be held back, just restrained. So I'm not quite sure how it would work with medicinal hairloss.

I would think it depends on if it's med related hairloss or hereditary hairloss. Different results.

If you use Propecia, it might just break the cyle if it's med-related.

It shouldn't be permanent if it's med-related....

Worth a try regardless.

Besides, it will lessen your distress about it.

~5ASA: Asacol (6 daily) + Salofalk enemas (increase for flares tapered to maintenance)
~Bentylol (dicyclomine) 20mg as needed
~Probiotic 3(Natural Factors Protec) bedtime + 1 (Primadophilus Reuteri) occasionally
~multi-digestive enzymes as needed ....zymactive 3 - 5x daily
~Ranitidine,Pariet (reflux) Effexor XR 75mg;  Pulmicort/Airomir (asthma)
~URSO for PSC (or PBC) 500mg X 2 daily (LFTs back to NORMAL!!)

From my understanding, the certain RX that make your hair fall out is only suppose to be a temporary side effect anyways so if you're taking it strictly because of meds causing loss of hair then I'm not sure if it's necessary or not.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it!  LOL  :)

Ya well I've been losing my hair ever since I've been taking 5-ASA meds,so it's def not temporary. I guess it's worth a try.
