My Gi took me off imuran yesterday since remicade is working so well. He thought it best to avoid the possible risks now that I feel better!

I'm down to 14 pills a day not including the zofran (as needed but tends to be another 6-8 pills a day)

Its not everyone that understands how 14 pills a day can be exciting. But when you are coming from over 50 a day at some points 14 is awesome!!!!

He also ordered a ct of my brain to see if I have swelling of tumors in my brain causing my nausea. He thought I would be upset that he was considering such things but at this point I will take any dx i can get as long as they can fix the nausea!!! CT is scheduled for tomorrow.
Kelly, 30

Left sided UC diagnosed 1/98 age 19, Pan colitis diagnosed 1/07
Currently on 4x3 Asacol, 150mg Imuran, no more pred after two years!!!!
Prontonix once daily for acid reflux, zofran twice daily for nausea
Remicade started 3/1/08...just had 3rd infusion

Hey any pill reduction is a good thing! :) When you have your CT scan, come back and let us know how it went ok? I'm crossing my fingers and hope that it's nothing too serious.

Good luck with your pursuit of the nausea issue; hopefully getting off Imuran will help resolve it. Please keep us posted when you can. / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])
