Anyone try vegetable juicing??

Hello everyone,
I have been reading into Juicing and its effect on UC.  I have communicated with two individuals who have said it has helped them.
One is Paul Nison, and the other is a guy on youtube.
Has anyone tried it?

Pan-colitis DX in 98
Prednisone 8mg (tapering). Colazal, Entocort. 
Carlson Fish oil, Glutamine, Whey Protein Isolate,  Multivitamin-mineral, Borage Oil, Digestive Enzymes, Natren probiotics 
No sugar, grains, dairy.  Whole foods only. Water only.

i haven't tried it yet but i'm planning to once i save up for a good juicer.
i'll be starting out slowly, with maybe only like 1/4c juice per day.
i'm planning to start with things like cabbage, carrot, spinach.

have you tried it yet?
29, happily married, stay at home mom to 2.5 year old son. due to have another boy 9/17/08
UC (probably pancolitis, but no c-scope yet), diagnosed June 2006, started having major symptoms sometime in January 2006, about 3 months after childbirth. 2nd flare (minor) may 2007 after taking caprylic acid for 2 weeks.

-Prednisone 8/28/06-2/28/07. and again may '07, 8 week course.
-Prayer! asacol, probio, ground psyllium husk, prenatal, folic acid, cal-mag

:-)  Hi - I don't know if juicing veg can help or not, just wanted to let you know that carrot juice is delicious!

Carrot and orange juice is my favourite as carrot seems to work as a natural sweetener and takes the tart edge off the orange.

I have been drinking veg juice for like a week now. First time in my life that I have been drinking this stuff. Still trying to get used to the ackward taste. I just down the whole cup (about 12fl ounce) all at once twice a day. I put spinich, broccohi, cabbabe, carrots, celery, and couliflower in a 48fl ounce container and drink it over two days. Over the past week I haven't made significant turnarounds on how I feel everyday but I do think that the veg juice does help in terms of having more formed stools. I must be helping somehow, it for sure isn't making my illness any worse.  I still think it might be too early for me to say 'yes it works for me' but I am going to try it out for a month and see how I feel. I dont lose anything in trying.

I just bought a juicer, moreso to get all vitamins and things I've been missing. My brother went halves on it because he wants to be more of a healthy meathead (football player and such). We did our first juice concoction of strawberries, blueberries, a peach, an apple and some melon, and it was totally worth it.

It's a Jack Lalane model like on TV, picked it up from Bed, Bath and Beyond for $100.
