I was wondering if it's possible to have ulcers and for them not to bleed. For about a week I haven't had any blood in my stool but I've still had the same cramps, pains and the same BM's but my doctor says I should be feeling alot better.

yes, it is possible.  I have thousands of ulcers in my colon (per my last colonoscopy), but none are bleeding at the moment.  I never really get the cramps, but the loose stools, mucous and very thin poo.

diagnosed with left-sided UC in 1997. (45cm)
Currently on 10mg Prednisone

Of course... Did you ever have canker sores in your mouth? Well UC ulcers are somewhat similar... They bleed when they're irritated, but even when they don't they can hurt like hell. Also, consider that you can have occult bleeding, i.e. blood is not visible in the stool, but it's still there (this happens because blood oxidizes and changes color from red to brown or black, so it becomes indistinguishable from stool on visual inspection).
