I hope she does not have UC or worse.  I would hate for her to have to deal w/this, plus if she does have it, I wonder if she would get the kidney disease from taking 5ASA's????  At least we would know what to look for.

Anyhow, I know I am jumping the gun and I told her that it could be a million different things so wait and see (My Mom had UC too, she has an ostomy done in '88).

It was kind of funny she was like, it's going to take 6 weeks to see a GI and I was like, sista that's how it goes.  She is not bleeding or anything but she knows her body is not right, she has cramping, bloating, some days she has to go really bad and some days she can't go at all.  I dont remember ever having the problem of not being able to go, except tensemus in a flare.

Please send her some good vibes.  In the meantime, I told her to try some probiotics and try to avoid refind carbs/sugars to help w/the gassyness.  Her primary told her to take GasX and metamucil.

The metamucil could be in part causing some of the bloating if she's been taking it.

Waiting is the worst part. Suggest she not take artificial sweeteners as well.
