Welcome to HealingWell, Kimeeee. Diets are extremely individual for those of us with UC. What bothers one doesn't another. Sometimes it's helpful to keep a food diary for a while to see what bothers you, because it can be hard to sort out. What you eat today could bother you tomorrow or in three or four days, so you have to see the same results over time.
Try a little, see if it causes you any problems and go from there. I find that I can eat beans and other legumes in moderation when I'm in remission, but they cause a lot of gas and pain when I'm flaring. Foods don't cause UC or cause flares, but they can make the symptoms worse sometimes when we are flaring.
