Anybody have a very noisy stomach with no signs of a flare?  My stomach has been soooooo noisy lately but I haven't had any signs of  an oncoming flare, everything else seems pretty normal.  It's especially noisy when I go to bed.

My stomach is always loud. Like lambkins my husband can hear it across the room. I try not to eat anything within a few hours of bedtime b/c lying down after eating can cause problems. But sometimes it's loud just for fun. So no real advice for you, just letting you know you're not alone. tongue

Sometimes I laugh at mine.  It can sound like circus going on down there.  Every once in awhile I'll answer it too with a simple yes or no.

Has always been my biggest issue with UC. I have the occasional burning, never any bleeding but wow the stomach makes noise. In  social situations it can be embarrasing. But with enbrel and remicade I have done much better. And cleaning up my diet has been paramount.

I get a noisy stomach, too, from time-to-time... even when in remission. If it continues for more than a few days in a row, though, I usually find it to be the first sign of a flare coming.

My husband usually has a noisy stomach right after dinner and sometimes at bedtime. It sounds like his stomach is really working. It does not matter if he is having a good day or bad day, the stomach still rumbles loudly.

I have a noisy stomach every once in a while, but if it lasts it means a flare is on its way.

Dx:  UC Proctitis 2006
Meds:  None so far. Garlic works to ease flares. My GI laughed when I told him and said it was just coincidence.
Started Meds:  Apr 9 08 500mg 5ASA (salofalk) to ease flare, tapering, stopped.
Diet:  Regular fresh garlic, Biobest yogurt daily, Omega 3 supplements, very limited junk food, carbs and processed food, low fat diet.  Lots of fresh fruit and veggies (limited potatoes).
 Added: tumeric and probiotics.

My tummy rumbles a lot at night, especially if I am laying on my left side. Its like I can feel my large intestine moveing things along. Not a very comforting feeling.
