brown and smelly, YAY! 
well it was pretty close to  'normal'.  Thank goodness the pred is helping me 2nd day @ 40mg, was at 20mg a day the week before (I was hoping the 20mg was enough to put me in remission).
hope I can get this into remission again and then taper back down.....very slowly.

Major Flare Sept/Oct 07
UC dx'd 03/00 (Proctosigmoiditis); Pancolitis since 09/07
Azathioprine 200mg 1xday nightly; Calcium and Vit D 500mg 3xday, Multi Vit, Folic Acid 400mg 2xday, Prilosec, Probiotics.
Minimal Change Disease (Kidney Disorder) dx'd 09/07 - partial remission since 03/08
Prednisone 5mg 1xday (tapered from 60 = ), Simvastatin 20mg 1xday, Diovan 160mg 2xday. Enalapril 20mg 1xday, Fosomax 70mg 1xweek. MCD may be from hypersensitivty to 5ASA drugs.  Do you have edema? If so, check your blood protien level!

Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis January 2007
Meds: Remicade, Primal Defense Ultra, Multi-vitamins (also iron, B12, Magnesium and Zinc), Flaxseed/Natures Bounty Fish Oil
Swanson Ultra Caprylic Acid (natural anti-fungal) 600mg x2 daily
Carrot & Garlic supplements (natural anti-fungal) x2 daily
Currently taking herbal meds in the search to regain full health.

I am so happy for you - that is such great news!  The things that excite those of us with IBD is crazy isn't it?

Congrats Beth, hope you continue to have better bm's.  yeah
diagnosed with uc 27 years ago.  Enojoyed 20 year remission with just minor blips here and there (approximately 16 of those years without any meds)
In a flare for 2 very long years which Asacol didn't help at all.  Finally in remission again since Jan 2008, can't believe it..............
currently on Sulfasalazine 2 tabs 3x day. Folic acid, mesalamine enema 2 x a week. Omega 3, Probiotics, multi vitamin, calcium supplement, Biotin....

YAY for good poop!! it's a relief to see things headed in the right direction, to say the least.

Good news, Beth! Are you still going through with the consult for your surgery? Or did you already have it? (Sorry... I'm losing track...)
