Hi everyone, Bless each one of you for caring and sharing info with me. You are right I do need a new G.I., My cardio knows a good one and is going to make a reccomendation monday to him. I am getting a little releif right now. I just took a Bentyl, Pepto Bismol, A canasa, and a 1/4 of a percoset. I hate this doped up feeling, but my stomach has gotten so sore I can not stand to be touched in it. I did finally get one chocolate snack pudding down last night. Today I drank a cup of chicken broth and laid down and went to sleep without going. That was the first time, but has gave me hope. I think and I feel as if I haven't went as many times this afternoon. But it seems to be more blood and less watery stool. Maybe it might be getting ready to give me a break. I did a Rowasa last night, and we all know what happened there, but I think that what I did get, helped, I went to sleep and slept about 3 hours and that is a long time over the past week. Is it ok to do canasa 2 or 3 times a day? And should I do the canasa tonight with the rowasa? I am so sore and sick i don't know what to do. At times I know I should be in the hosp. But I have gotten so afraid of Dr's and hosp's. Every time I go it seems like I lose a body part or they find something else a wrong with me. When I finish this I am going to look up and read up on C. Diff. No one has said a word about that. They did think I might have had salmonella, but they said no. I don't think they know or care enough to find out. Just pushing me around among Dr's. Thank you all again and I look forward to hearing from you, it makes me feel better.   Angel

Hi Angel, I do canasa sometimes twice a day per my doctors request. I remember reading somewhere you can do it 3 but don't take my word on that. Maybe you could ask the doctors about the c-diff thing. You know they don't always know everything and may not have thought of it until you bring it up. I worry about how sick you are, please be careful and maybe you should go to the hospital, especially if your doctors want you too. Take Care, I'll be keeping you in my prayers, Bellski

Hi Bellski, Thanks for caring. I had gotten some releif this afternoon and tonight. I even ate a little bit of mac & cheese and it stayed. Then just a little while ago at 9:55 had bad cramps, went to potty and it was pure blood, just ran from me like diarreha. I'm really scared now, just told my hubby if that happens again I am off to the hospital. I looked up c,diff, but I don't think it sounds like me. I haven't been on antibiotics. But something is happening and I think it is my plavix (blood thinner) for heart and 2 baby asprins a day. But I have to have these to keep stents open and clean. Don't know what to do. Wonder if this has happened to anyone else, the blood thing. I have had small amounts in commode, but not like this. Thank you for being kind, Angel

You can take up to three Canasa a day. Perhaps more under a doctor's supervision.

I know how scary the blood flowing out of you can be! Your doctor will ask how much you are losing. If possible, catch it in a dixie cup or margarine tub so you have a good idea how much it actually is. Another member also took a picture of the toilet bowl to show her doc - they used that picture for future comparisons - was she bleeding more or less than that time?

Best of luck - I hope you feel better soon!
