Are allergy shots known to have a negative effect on UC? I take them because I have horrible allergic reactions to things, and I'm not sure whether or not they have done anything to my guts in the process.

Hi. I take allergy drops (sublingual immunotherapy) which are the same thing as allergy shots basically, only the allergen is in a drop that you place under your tongue instead of getting a shot. I've been on them for about 9 months and no problems with my UC, and they're helping my allergies. Yay! My allergist said some of his patients even see their IBD symptoms improve after being on the allergy drops.
