This is my first post.  I've been reading through these messages for a couple of days and have really learned a lot already.

I am a 65 year old female, diagnosed with severe pancolitis in November of 2007.  Started taking Prednisone 40 mg daily and 3 Colazal capsules three times a day.  Got bronchitis in December and took an antibiotic for it.  In January I got C. Diff.  Was hospitalized for a week.  Now I am slowly getting better, I think.  Some days are better than others.  No Prednisone since February.

Question:  What does a food diary look like?  Do you compare food with symptoms?

Another question:  Are we supposed to make one of those signatures that lists your diagnosis and all your meds?

Thanks already for all the help I've received from the messages.  I've got some other questions too but I'm going to start out slowly.

Hi Jessie's Mom, Welcome. A food diary is simply writing down everything you eat. And yes, if certain syptoms appear, I would jot them down too.

I'm glad you are starting to feel better.

If you go to control panel, click on that then go to edit profile, you should be able to creaste a profile. It just helps so that every time you post a message you don't have to retell you whole story. Control panel is toward the top, right next to log off.

Good luck and take care, Bellski

Welcome to HealingWell, Jessie's Mom. We're glad you found us, and please feel free to ask any questions you have. As you may have noticed, we speak quite freely here about things that normally aren't discussed in polite company, so this is the place to ask.

I like fitday.  Once you get most of your foods logged in, it's even simpler.
