I have so many issues I never can figure out what's causing things to hurt other than the pain in the wallet from all the co-pays going to 4 different doctors and usually none of them seem to know.

I have this pain I call the "phantom pain" that's very hard to describe but I will try. It shows up in random places in my body, usually on extremities not on my core body. Sometimes it's on a joint other times it's in the middle of a bone and others it's in a muscle. It's tender, not really painful on day 1. Day 2 it's nearly intolerable and has on some occasions when I've been stressed other ways brought me to tears. Day 3 it's sore and tender but not all that painful and usually by day 4 gone.

Not a big deal most of the time but last week I had to call into work on Friday because for the first time the phantom showed up in 2 places. The top of my left foot and the bend of my right ankle (not quite on the ankle). It literally felt like you would imagine getting slammed with a sledge hammer on the top of the foot where all the bones are and then like it was swung into the ankle of the other foot. . .I couldn't walk at all. I was in tears and called every doctor my primary, my GI and my Nephrologist. The Primary has me scheduled for a battery of tests tomorrow, my Nephrologist wants to see me in 2 weeks after the primary's tests are in and the GI said to take some tylenol UC can cause arthritis like pains then hung up.

Basically I'm wondering if this really is the type of pain I could expect from UC, should I be pushing him more to look into this or has nobody had anything like this and it's probably kidney or other issues not UC at all.

Opinions greatly appreciated!

I would say it might be UC related but I wouldn't bother having the GI look into it, because you're probably just going to get the same answer. I would just go to the PCP and let them do the tests and maybe they will refer you to a specialist that could be able to help you more. Sorry you're going through all that :( Good luck getting it figured out

I don't know when all this stuff ends, at this point there's so much weird going on that nobody seems to be able to find that I'm ready to just suffer and keep my money. It's better to have the cash and know nothing than the frustration of blowing hundreds and still knowing nothing
