Well, it's my first step out of the 5-asa drugs. My doc was a little weary of me starting something new and leaving for vacation in a few days, but the sooner the better for me.

Anything I should be aware of in taking this? My doc went over the usual side affects, but you guys are the professionals.

LOL, I told the NP that I had used a homeade probiotic enema to battle the big D since last time I had saw her, and I got the most interesting look.

for me, the biggest thing has been fatigue, I take all my azathioprine (generic of Imuran) at night and that has helped. I used to go to bed around 10:30pm now I go to bed around 8:30 or 9pm. I do exercise about 5 days a week and I find that has helped keep my energy up.

my past three labs have shown my liver enzymes are slightly elevated, not so much they want to take me off but enough so that I am doing monthly blood work instead of every 3 mos. I will be going over w/GI soon.
