If you remember I changed doctors about a month ago.  I had an angio scan done by my old doc in the beginning of June and I wanted to get the results from it.  Since I hadn't heard from him I assumed (big mistake) everything was fine.  If it wasn't, I figured he would have called me.  So when I called today for the results (We're leaving for vacation tomorrow- even the car is packed- I wanted to have my records with me) nurse said the doc wants me to come in.  It turns out he said I have a spot on my pancreas.  Tomorrow I have to go for a biopsy of this spot.  It's an EUS, an edoscopic ultrasonography.  Doc goes down into the stomach and through the wall into to pancreas with a small needle and gets a few pieces.  I'm looking for prayers that this is a cyst and nothing more.  Between the UC and I think I'm having a bad reaction to the Nexium I take for ulcers.  Real dry mouth and throat and white tongue.  It just seems to never end.  I feel like all I do is complain to you.  One day I hope I can write that I'm feeling great. Arlene

Hi Arlene...how awful for you to have to go through yet another test and it's unfortunate it's happened to be the last minute before you leave for holidays.

I think we talked about the Nexium in the past...it's possible it's responsible for some of the symptoms you're having.

I pray that the results will be benign.

Please let us know how the test goes.

I too had an EUS done. It is really a piece of cake. You'll be mostly asleep so you won't know what's going on. My Dr thought I had a tumor blocking my duct, that was why I have chronic pancreatitis. It wasn't a tumor, but something just blocking it. Don't know. Anyways, good luck during your EUS! When do you go to have it? I hope everything goes well. Let us know how it goes!

I am concerned about what BrainstemDr is doing on this thread and on this forum. It looks to me as if rule 11 is being violated to get around rules 4 and 10. In other words, the posts are crytically written in an attempt to mask the intent which is advertising/promotion of a particular product, procedure or approach.

BrainstemDr's statements are a bit worrying to me and I agree with saskia's observation and conclusion.

Hi everyone...had my EUS late today. Didn't get in from hospital until 2 hours ago. Doc thought because of the way this leasion looked he was pretty sure it was a cyst. He'll get back the preliminary pathologist report tomorrow and will call me when he has it in his hands. He then sounds out samples to some lab that takes about 2 weeks to get back. The test was a piece of cake. I get myself all worked up....but that's me. We're holding off until Thursday to leave on vacation. I'm too pooped to think about leaving tomorrow. Thank you all so much for all prayers and concerns. Love you guys. Arlene

Great that having the test wasn't stressful (seems the way with many tests having the before worse than the during..lol).

Please let us know about what your doc has to say.

Hope you get good rest before your vacation.
