Hello All,

Just planning to order this product, but before that want to get your feedback
Anybody of you guys tried this one and see any good results?

Website claims that the inflammation in colon is reduced after 6 weeks of usage..

http://www.vsl3.com/VSL3/uses-ulcerative-colitis.asp

Can we trust this?

if this is not the right product what would be the best one which has high success rate

Your advise is highly appreciated...

Thank you All in advance for your feedback

It's a product that has been clinically tested and shown to help many UC patients, so it isn't a scam. Like everything else, it helps some but not others. The only way to know is to try it for yourself.

Did you try Culturelle? It works well for many people. VSL3 or Culturelle, which one is better? Depends on person.

Dx in 2007. Proctitis only( party of Ulcerative Colitis). Mild Hemorrhoid. Fish oil 2 capules twice a day, helps. Alo Vera sometimes helps. Propolis helped quit bit, but had to stop due to allergy issue.

Works really well for me but only if I take 3 a day minimum. It won't totally pull me out of a flare, but will dramatically reduce symptoms.
DX with UC Jan 07
Currently taking Colazide (allergic to Asacol and Pentasa) 6 a day
Also taking VSL3 X1 a day

Many threads on this product. results vary dramatically. Results in my opinion are dose related, in a flare I wouldn't bother unless you can afford 4+ sachets a day. 1 to 2 a day seem to help me remain in remission.
While it appears quite expensive relative to the number of bacteria you get it is very competitive with other probiotics. The mechanism by which these products work or dont work is not clearly understood but there is a lot of on going research.

My local health food store here sells the packets for $3.99 each. They are the dry refrigerated stuff. The more I buy the cheaper they get. So check with the local health food stores. If they don't have it then maybe they can order it.

hi,
i tried it last year for 4 months at least.
it was really expensive and didn't work for me at all.
again, everyone is different. try it if you can afford it.
i paid a fortune.
but just to give you a past history, last year, i tried everything and not much worked at all.
its good stuff so it won't hurt you.
all you can do is trial and error really.

You can buy it online or perhaps from your local pharmacy. It is also available on prescription, and to put it in perspective, the amount I take per month would cost around $200 but I get it free from my Doc.
