What are your experiences of online support groups?

Dear members-

I am from the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations within the University of Nottingham. I am currently conducting research into health-related online support groups and would like to know what you think. This survey has been agreed to be shown on here by the group moderator.

Moderate to severe left-sided UC (21 cm) diagnosed 2001.
Avascular necrosis in both shoulders is my "forever" gift from steroid therapy.
Colazal,  Remicade, Nature's Way Primadophilus Reuteri. In remission since April, 2006.

Hi all,

It's worth mentioning before you start that it's much more about your attitude towards your illness and how you cope with it than about online support groups - it's very generic and not UC specific - I still completed the thing but just wanted to let people know what they're getting into - it only takes about 10-15 mins.
