I have UC, how come once in a while, my stool will start off normal and then go into looser stools, in the same sitting and its not really diahherea just not together, more in pieces??? Its not every day or anything..

Do you have IBS in addition to UC? This happens to me if my IBS is acting up.

No, but i am lactose intolerant.

I have that happen quite often. I tend to relate it to how long things have been in my colon - the longer (when in remission or close to it) it's been in there, the more water that's been removed, and the more it's been "compressed". I could be totally off base though!

My stools are almost always like that, and I'd consider myself in remission (1-2 a day.) They are usually solid at first, then more loose as it comes out. Sometimes small pieces and sometimes just mushy stuff. But certainly not diarrhea. Just the way it is now.
