Hi Folks,

I've had more testing done on my DNA and it seems I'm predisposed to having Chronic Inflammation or autoimmune disease. However whatelse was found was lower in vitamins B's. C, Cal-mag
High estrogen and VERY LOW Seratonine. I have two stands of bad bacteria and yeast overgrowth as well. My body is taking in toxins (i.e. environmental) and it doesn't get rid of them like it should.
I just wanted you to know there's a test out there that can tell you about your genetic makeup and what's really going on with your body. It's a amazing tests and it's fairly new.

I'm only 3 weeks into treatment with no meds, this is a change in my body but not yet with my colon that I can see yet.

One thing that was so important was the seratonine, b/c this is what makes you feel good and if this is low and you already don't feel good from UC it's a double whammy.

I have a new script for sulsufadine (it's not asacol, colozal or pentasa they are small white, round tablets) so I may not be spelling it write, but once again, I'm afraid of what the side effects of this new med is going to be. Anyone taking this a getting no side effects?
Colonoscopy & Endoscopy 7/27, Left sided colitis and near cecum (mild)

Where did you get this testing from? What is the name of the lab? What did it costs? And, did your doctor have to write a script for it or ask for it to be done? Thanks! Seems like your on the right track! Goodluck!

Interesting. Almost everyone I've seen or heard talking about this sort of testing gets nearly identical results. I wonder how they established the "normal" levels.

Dr. Hicks,
it does cost and you need a script from him. It's well worth it. I've spent about $1,000 (consult and 5 tests which are DNA, Stool, Urine, Food Allergy, Genomic profile) but the insurance covers part
I've learned so much about what is happening with my body. We are targeting each thing,
vitamin/mineral deficency and only the ones I need
bad bacteria
overgrowth of yeast
high estrogen
low seratonin
detoxing chemicals

It's well worth it. If you do schedule a appt, say Linda who has UC like me sent you. I don't get a referral or anything, but I want him to see how many people out there have UC. He's worked with other folks like us.

Hi,

What is normal results? I have high estrogen, low seratonine, I do not have a iron or folate problem, just B's, C's, Zinc, Thaimin. Bad yeast and bad bugs, do you know people who have this exact same thing? It is common I think for UC to have chronic inflammation of course, but yeast and bacteria issues, probably, but wouldn't you want to know for sure? I just can't pop pills, if I don't know what is really going on.

There's a video you can wathch on comprehensive metabolical profile. If you google it, and say comprehensive metabolical profile video and guy will appear and he interviews doctors (really he grills them) as to way is this such a good test.
