That would be three months after my last MRSA/Charkot Disease surgery.  He said my transplant is clear - and since I am flaring, he would start me back up next month.  There is little data on this type of thing - they were going to wait until 4 months, but after looking at my transplant and the speed that it is healing - he feels more comfortable letting my GI put me back on Remi.
I feel this is good news and lets me look forward to relieving my flare.
Thanks for letting me share!

Wow! That will hopefully get your flare back under control. In the meantime, are you taking vitamins? Assuming you have to stay indoors, your vit D level is likely low, & that can contribute to runs, plus inadequate absorption of calcium into bones. When they draw bloods, you can ask to have vit D25 test if they're not doing it already. Your blood level should measure 30 or higher for acceptable absorption. That can relieve joint pain, etc. per my gastro, who subspecializes in IBD treatment. Great that you can update us now via laptop! / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])

hey, bob! good to see you back. i was just wondering about you the other day......matter of fact you're why i stopped in tonight to just lurk and see if you'd bobbed (sorry bout that) back to the surface. back when you were describing what you were going to endure, it sounded pretty dire. glad to see you back up and fighting. that mrsa thing scares the bejeepers outta me. i've never been in a hospital before and now that i'm in my 60's i know that record prolly won't last long.....with the hospital stay possibly being worse than the malady that sent you. glad to see they have that under control. we're all pulling for you.

hi carol! glad to hear you are doing well too. sorry i haven't been around much.
