So I've been doing OK lately. Still lots of bm's, but otherwise things are improved. Tonight I am in pain. I've been eating a lot of the same foods lately - the only difference was that I snacked on some baby carrots at lunch. Do any of you have problems with carrots? If I were just a little uncomfortable I wouldn't sweat it but I am hurting. Even my lower back is killing me. sad    Oh, and I am taking Prednisolone for a pinched nerve in my arm. My doc put me on a 6-day course of those to try to fix it without surgery. Any ideas???

Raw carrots don't sound like something I would even try if I were flaring. That seems awfully rough on your colon. Do you typically eat them?

I stay away from raw carrots, broccoli and califlower when I'm flaring. How many did you eat?

Funny; I never have been able to eat raw baby carrots. I get terrible cramping and pain in my stomach after eating but since it's been happening for so long, I just assumed it was the fiber in them that I couldn't take. I haven't eaten them in ages.

I love raw carrots, and often snack on the baby ones. But never if I'm flaring. Raw veggies of any kind hurt me when I'm in a flare.

Well I guess I had a moment of complete stupidity. I have been doing so well lately - I've eaten spinach, brown rice, salad.. no problems. I had to give up most vegetables for so long, I think I've just fallen out of touch with the ones that I shouldn't ever eat. I ate about four or five of the baby carrots. WON'T be making that mistake again. Thanks guys for the feedback.
