I am in a clinical trial with golimumab as I have mentioned before. I am flaring again somewhat. Not a tone of bleeding but the diarrhea has remained throughout this study. The only time the D calms is with Immodium. In the study I have had some sig's done that showed I was now more left sided colitis than pan colitis like I was originally Dx'd. My G.I. said that its possible I could benefit from Colozal. Problem is I can't take this unless I drop out of my trial for Golimumab. Has anyone had success with Colazal that has failed an anti-tnf? I have also taken azothioprine and asacol. Please give me some advice. Thanks.

Hopefully your health will allow u to take cruise. We are in the surgery arena now my 23 daughter had the first step 7/8/08 and is still in hospital, she is doing well,we were supposed to bring her home today but her bag output was to much surgeon wasnot happy, they put on med hopefuuly coming home tommorow. This surgery is tougher than I though, she decided not to live like she has for 2 years in a severe flare nothing except steroids worked. The past 2 weeks  has been a roller coaster ride, from the bowels being asleep and them having to drain Her with Ng tube and tube up the Anus which finaaly got things working, to to much output and fear of dehydratrion. She said Dad ,I do not want to give myself shots{humira and methotexate} the rest of her life and she is will to live with the pouch need be.Your surgeon isnot lying its a tough recovery but You  like my daughter have to look at the long term quality of life picture,My daughter also had to consider my dad died of colon cancer ,and she bugging me to get checked,History of it in family.Enjoy cruise and think potenially that your next one you will hopefully be UC free, which I wish for evryone  with this illness, good luck
