Hi Farida38. Welcome to the forums. You will find many helpful people here.

Is it possible for your doctor to order these meds for you? Can he write a prescription and have them mailed to you? How long have you taken the Asacol and how many per day do you take and at what time of the day?
- DXed with "left sided" UC in 1998. DXed with "proctitis" Oct. 2007
- Sulfasalazine 4 500mg tabs twice daily
- 500mg Vitamin C, 1 Multivitamin, L-Glutamine
- Max Acidophillis EC Capsules 350Mg(7 types of bacteria with over 42 billion viable cells) with 50 Mg colostrum & 50 Mg FOS(fructo-oligosaccharides)
- Experimenting with this or that on occasion. Always open to new ideas.
- Colonoscopies - 2 (Due for my next one ASAP)

Knowing your dose of Asacol would be helpful. For instance, 12 pills a day is often thought to bring about a faster remission -- but many people report increased side effects at that dose, and the side effects can mimic the disease itself.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I would also recommend sulfasalazine, which I imagine is pretty easy to get just about anywhere.
