wont be home until 7pm tonite and I usually take them all at 7:30 am.  I have never forgotten before.  I hope I don't go into some kind of pred withdrawl, (though I did put in a pred suppository, so I got some pred juice in me).
Beth, 32 ~ hoping to taper pred successfully, wish me luck!

You won't go into pred withdrawl, but you might have trouble sleeping tonight taking it that late...be sure to go back on schedule tomorrow morning.

You could stop by a pharmacy near where you are to see if they have any pred. They can call your regular pharm verify your rx and you just pay out of pocked for todays dose. I did that once when I was on entocort and had to be in court all day over an hour from home. I went to another CVS though so they just deducted it from next months and didn't charge me.

I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.

Hi PB4!

I just wanted to say hi! Colitis Foundation has been down for quite awhile, huh? I asked the admin himself, and it sounds like the site has been down because he lost all info and hopefully someday will be back online. I sure miss that website! I also wanted to mention that I will be 5 years Crohn's FREE this September 1st! :) All because of Bee Propolis! I don't have it anymore! :)

What is Bee Propolis! Do you know of it being helpful for Ulcerative Colitis?

Hi Brian M :)

Long time no "see", I totally removed it from my favorites cuz I figured he just shut down because of costs or something...good to know he's working on getting it back though.

I'm so happy about the update of your remission...I'm still taking bee propolis everyday faithfully, my GI told me to since it's 100% non-toxic and because he said either way it's a great dietary supplement considering we don't always get all our nutrients via food alone...I'm still doing "okay" could always be better but I'm not complaining too much cuz I've been sooooooo much worse in the past so I'll take what I can get.

Keep in touch...nice talking with you FYI I credit you for the bee propolis, as you know, if it wasn't for me stumbling across your post about it then I'd have never known of it nor would I likely be doing as well as I am, you've definitely made a huge impact on my life because you shared your experiance with it and as always, THANK YOU!

:)

I am so happy to hear that PB. I still cannot believe that I don't have Crohn's anymore! It's CRAZY. It really is. Especially when there isn't supposed to be a cure! I suffered soooooooo much for over 10 years and then decided to research some on the internet. I kept seeing that Propolis might help and so on and decided to try it. You know the story, but I took a 500mg tab once a day for 2 days and then it was GONE, and I knew that it WAS. I had the HORRIBLE bloody diarrhea and etc., and when you have something like that and all the sudden it's GONE, you just know. I feel totally blessed to say the LEAST. Since then, I can eat ANYTHING, and I can drink ANYTHING... :) I immediately wanted to share it and found the Colitis Foundation and found a lot of unbelievers. People that immediately said "no way" and wouldn't even try it! Too bad for them since it might have helped. I am very glad that there was a few like you that did and found some relief. Talk to you later PB. I also would like to say hi to "Red" or Sherry. I haven't talked to you for awhile too and hope you are doing ok. :)

If anyone wants to try this, and there is NO guarantee it will help you in the same way, try ANY brand that is Brazilian Bee Propolis. If you are allergic to bees in any way shape or form, do not use at all! Severe allergic reactions can occur! I had bought the brand "Twinlabs" Bee Propolis and that is the one that did it for me, but it isn't made anymore. I just know the Brazilian is the one that is the best, but who knows, maybe it makes no difference. They are all different. It all depends on where the Propolis is harvested, and from what plants and trees the bees actually make it from. If you try this and it doesn't help at all, try a different company or location it's made from (if it shows that.) Propolis varies GREATLY from the location it's harvested from. If you try it and if it helps please let us know. I don't think it will help EVERYONE but could still be a medical break through if the medical community will even acknowledge it. If they can't patent it (and they can't with Bee Propolis) then they will ignore it since no money can be made, (billions of dollars they usually make) and that is WRONG. No matter what though, it definitely cured my Crohn's.

:)

Hello Pb and Brian!
I was on the Chrons website also, wondered what happened to website and you guys.  I'm the one who had cancer, surgery, and chemo in 2006.  Took Prescribed Questran and  a host of anything and everything.
Updating, I took myself off Questran.  I am now almost where I want to be with the diarrhea episodes!  I take L-Glutamine 1/2 hr before breakfast (empty stomach) and later drink a powder mix of Konsyl (Psyllium) similar to metamucil only better, this helps with diarrhea and hemroids that I've developed from horrible bathroom habits (diarrhea).  I eat 2-4 tablespoons shredded coconut per day, you won't believe how well this works for diarrhea.  I also take Acidophilus (sp)  this really seems to help with bloating and gas.  I'm taking Cayenne supplements and Turmeric.  These all help me in this direction and beats the heck outta Prescriptions.

You mentioned Brazillian formed bee propolis, I'm researching and thinking maybe of ordering some.  I took BP before and it helped some, I was not on the program of these other supplements for digestive tract during that time.  I'm thinking of giving it another try, especially the Braziallian type.  Check this out and tell me what you think.  I googled braziallian BP and it sounds impressive, I'm sure there are other companys that make this.
