As long as I eat fruit in moderation I'm fine. Just don't overdo it!

During a flare up no way to fruit. If you are kinda normal then fruit is good in moderation.

no problems with it.

However....make sure it's washed reallllllllly well on the outside, since it can be a source of salmonella.

I have been eating fresh strawberries, blue berries and cantaloupe for a few months now and think they are helping me get back into remission. I feel healthier, that's for sure!! Again, moderation is key. I have also read that the best time to eat fresh fruit is first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

right now I am staying away from most raw fruit. My doctor has told me melon is ok. I have been eating a lot of melon and have had no problem.
My brother in law who has Crohn's has been saying to me, "You have to bring in foods and see how they effect you"

Maybe cantalope isn't for you?

It totally depends on many different things. Usually I can eat half a cantelope in one sitting. A few days ago I ate quite a bit and ended up vomiting it all back up. Now I chew on 2 tums after each meal. My stomach is just an acid mess right now.
