My latest bowel issues and symptoms have me very confused. I seem to be in a 2-week cycle which goes something like this:

Blood test, low inflammation markers within normal range

10-14 really good days where I can eat what I want with no issues. Good BMs.

A bad attack of soft stool and if I can't get to bathroom right away then some blood from "trying to withstand the urgency".

2 hours later some form of attack, "become very weak, headaches, pains in my bone, shivers and my temp drops, hot flushes as my temp rises". Weak and spaced out for most of day.

Blood test, low inflammation markers within normal range.

Recover and have another 10-14 excellent days. Then another one day attack.

I'm amazed and how I can become really weak and shivery within minutes and then recover fully overnight. I'm wondering is this some form of mild allergic reaction or even a sub conscious panic attack caused by seeing the blood. I've had a blood test for allergies which showed major issues with dairy. I went on an elimination doet but can find no evidence that dairy is affecting my GI tract. I also had issues with wheat and yeast.

It's stressing me out as it seems to be mini 1 day flares every 10-14 days. I'm starting to worry is there something else going on with me!

Comments and opinions very greatly accepted!

D

Wish I had some insight for you, some other's may have some. I go through similar issues with the one day of horror too add in hugging a trash can for nausea to the mix. After a major crash and sleep session for like 12-14 hours I'm better again. Not as regular as yours tho, I was frequently having trouble back in March but hadn't had any trouble until this past week. I have never gotten an explination from any of the 5 specialists I see either as to why it's happening.

Hi Damo,

The only suggesstion I have would be to research all the meds you have taken over the past few years, look up all the side effects and from there look up all the symptoms of each of those side effects.

If I had done that 8 years ago, I would have found out I had kidney disease 7 years earlier. For instance Nephrotic Syndrome is listed as a side effect for Sulfasalazine, Asacol and Lialda, but edema is not. If I had researched the side effects of Nephrotic Syndrome I would have come across 'edema' (which I have had for 7 years) and BAM, I could maybe have already dealt with all this crap and be working on starting a family.

It would take a serious amount of time to do this, but if I only had...........

Not sure if this is helpful for you or not, but I hope you are able to find the answers you are looking for. Though they are not always (in my case) what you want to know.
