Ok so this is very odd for me but lately on occasion I get small blisters on my legs.  They start out looking like a zit but then they turn into a blister.  I don't get a lot of them but I have started noticing them more.  They don't hurt except when they open to reveal the tender skin underneath and they are about the size of the flat top of a pin.  Any ideas what they can be?  I plan on asking my GI about this when I see him next month but just thought I would throw out the question to others first.

i had some weird leg blisters at one point, mine were bigger than you are describing. but i would get one, it would go away, and then another would appear. so i finally went to have them looked at and it was staff infection. bleah. antibiotics killed them but i wonder if you could try a topical antibac wipe or cream or something before resorting to the oral kind.

Heather, were your blisters evident when you went to the doc so he/she can look at them? I was just wondering because my blisters are small and by the time I go in to see the doc they are gone and either I forget to ask her or she tells me that I need to come in to see her when they are there. It's so hit and miss but very odd to have these things. Not sure if the wipes would work but I guess I can give it a go to see if it helps.

yes, mine were visible at the time. even if they're not, maybe they could do a culture anyway and find out if it's something along those lines.

oh, and these were several years prior to the onset of UC. haven't had them since.
