Finally completely blood free (not even a spec) for 2 straight days (I realize you need to have at least 3-4 straight to be sure, according to my doc) but last night I ate some pot roast at a local resturant that was loaded with ground black pepper and then I ate some fresh pineapple (vs the jarred kind I normally eat) and also ate very late too...this a.m. I woke up feeling good but right after my BM the spasms started and I was paying dearly for the food I ate. This disease sux redface .

Remember that, even though you're not bleeding, it still takes some time for the colon to heal. If it's still inflamed, rough foods can irritate it. Sorry you're having the problem. As your colon heals more, it will be less sensitive and your diet will have more freedom.

Sounds like the trifecta there for the old UC. I can't do pepper AT ALL, pot roast sparingly and pineapple, well, that is another poop fest waiting to happen.

I'm really sorry...seems like you were doing better! Hopefully this is just a little setback and you'll continue to improve : )
