I can't get the link to work either, however any talk of marijuana even for medicinal use is strictly forbidden to be discussed here on HW.  Please reread the forum rules for clarification - thank you.

i wasn't exactly advocating it, i was just showing a published article. so i dont know why that would be forbidden especially if they end up using it medicinally. i'd think it would be safer than remicade or prednisone anyways...

No offense taken. It's just that rules are rules and as mods we have to enforce those rules. :)

Careful Jsanders505, the Thought Police will have you in Room 101!!

It's sad I know, but unlike the rest of America, there is no free speech or even freedom of expression on this forum.

The owner of the site can set whatever rules they want; this is not a freedom of speech issue! If you want to pursue dialogue along these lines you are welcome to create your own website and moderate it to suit your needs.

Thank you NBT :)

I get frustrated when people come on here and think that we are a communist community when in fact we allow many liberties with speech and thought. And just because we have this one very strict rule about talk of any use (even medicinal) of marijuana that it makes us dictators. Especially from people that don't know the history behind this rule. I have been a mod for over 4 years and in all these years, the argument is always the same. If people stop to think about why these rules are in place then they would be more understanding why the moderators have to enforce them and why the rules are what they are.

Jsanders, no offense taken in the least. But it is very important to read the forum rules regularly.

What is the history? I dont get whats the problem for talking about medical marijuana... Curious as to what happened in the past that lead to the creation of this rule.

3 1/2 years ago this rule was created because we had some rather rambunctious characters that were actually advocating the use of marijuana for pleasure use. It created a string of drug related posts which got totally out of hand. The owner of the site had to put a stop to it because this is a USA based website that doesn't advocate the use of illegal substances and/or activity. Because the use of medicinal marijuana is still not approved here except under strict medical supervision it was best to not approve the discussion of it here on HW. I know that the law for medicinal marijuana is different for every country but because this is a privately owned USA based website, we must follow the rules of the owner/administrator.

There's also google where any of you interested could just search for this information rather than arguing with the mods about it :)
