I am new and left a post today about my bloating feeling, got some digestive enzymes today hoping might help.
I am reading and trying to get more knowledge of this crazy disease.  Wondering how long a flare up usually lasts a person.  I have had seemed to battling this flare up since jan/feb of this year...... I am getting a little depressed about this.  I did go on Prednisone for about a month 40 mg and it helped things, I was bleeding continually for over a month before I got into the doctor they did a semi-scope and another full scope booked for this upcoming Friday.
The saloflak is really helping - but when I dodn't take it everyday - bamm...bleeding mucus again....geez... I am taking Pentesa 3 a day I guess I should be taking the prescribed 6 a day??  Just kinda getting fed up (which I know is totally normal).  My fiance is very supportive...........but I get frustrated.
Thanks for listening - I would welcome comments on how long flares have lasted, (what is the average length)...I need hope!

I don't think there is an average time a flare lasts. I have known some people who have the disease for 20 years and never been in remission and others who have flares that only last a couple of weeks. I had about 10 years of remission followed by a flare that lasted 2.5 years. The disease is unpredictable.
