It is my understanding that antibiotics can bring on ulcerative colitis.  I am taking the canasa suppository at night and in the a.m. an allegra for a runny nose and sneezing.  Do you think that the allegra is not a good idea right now?

Allegra is not an antibiotic, but an antihistamine. It, like Claritin, Zyrtec and other antihistimine drugs, are fine for us to take. I live in a very high allergy area, and take both Zyrtec and Singulaire daily to help with my allergies.
