Ok, I had my sig yesterday, and of course the past few days had been very a matter of fact getting better each day.  I was worried to death that the Fleet Enemas would put me back, but they really did not.  Anyway, the only hagging symtpom I have that I wish would go away is the 4 or 5 times a day of the mucus expulsion.  It's not alot, but it cause a full feeling to go and then that is all that comes out.  Anyway, I was expecting the results to be mediocre at best since I even had a little clood yesterday morning...not much but it was still there.  Anyway...lo and behold the pcitures wereawesome.  My GI said it was the best my colon had looked in a long time.  He said there was still sowm low level activity, but I was 95% to remission.  I did not get to chat with him due to being in a fog, but he told my wife to up my fiber and be glad of how good I looked.  Question is, if it looks that good, and I do have the pictures to prove it, why do I get these little mucus episodes.  He told my wife I have multiple internal Hemmmies, but I was not sure if they could cause the mucus episodes.  Does anyone have any thoughts on how to remedy this last little situation?  Should I expect it to resolve on it's own over time?  I remember having this dueing my last flare 6 years ago, but it went away pretty quick.  ANy thoughts from thecommunity?

Up the fibre, don't worry about mucus, that's normal after a scope as is some blood it won't last long. Be happy you are in remission.

Medication: 4000mg Pentasa a day, 5mg Clipper Steroid (Beclometasone dipropionate)

Wow!!!! That's awesome news! I've been waiting to hear your results.... makes me have hope for myself! Definitely up the fiber- not that it's helped me in that area too much, but it can't hurt. Maybe your colon is just going to be a little moodier now, more mucousy & funky... I feel like even when I get to remission, I won't be "normal", still have more gas & mucous than most folks. Who knows though- like you said, you got the pics to prove it, so enjoy it!
