Thanks for sharing!

Any of the medications we take can have awful side effects. I certainly didn't set out to start on Remicade - however, prednisone was taking away my life and there weren't other options beside surgery which I wasn't ready for. These are not drugs to be taken lightly and need to be used under strict supervision by a medical doctor. Those who Remicade has given back quality of life are aware of those side effects and are willing to use the drug anyway because it has given them back their life...

To each his/her own.

Osteopenia (hip and spine) diagnosed Feb 2006

I'm going for my first Remicade treatment tomorrow morning. Could someone on here who is on Remicade tell me what your first treatment was like? Were you able to go to work right after and feel ok? What about the following day, did you feel normal? Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I've been on it for three years; feel fine and achieved remission....the next day after infusion. I felt fine going to work, and the infusion is easy. I usually take a nap or chat with the others in the room who are there for far worse treatments for life-threatening illnesses (and not cancer) so I'm happy that Remi has worked so well for me. I'm hoping it does the same for you!
