A really bad morning

This morning, starting at 4:30, has been a day from hell.  Just when I thought things were perking up, I was woken by intense pain and faced with straight blood all morning.  The pain is unbearable, percocet or not, and I can't keep away from the toilet.  I don't think I will make it to my classes today :(   I swear I am never eating dinner again.  What went wrong with my choice of chicken last night??? I think I'm sticking to soup for awhile- anyone have any suggestions?

I feel you.  There is some powder mix that you can get over the internet called Absorbplus.  I take it while I am in a flare as a meal replacement.  It has all kinds of nutrients and proteins that are easily absorbed.  You can live off the stuff for a while and it allows you to have "bowel rest" to allow time for your bowels to heal without things traveling through it to irritate it.  It seems to help a lot for me.  Also, I take bee propolis and that seems to help some too.  I just started fiber wafers and that helps too.  Best of luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Hamley, my heart is with you. I live off of fish and chicken but like last night I just couldn't handle any dinner. Looks like lemonhead had some great advice minus well try it! I sure hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry, hamley. I've had those mornings, too. Don't force yourself to go to class and try to drink some liquids. What kind of chicken did you have? I've noticed that I can handle well-cooked grilled chicken, but fried chicken is a bit harder.
