Hi,

I'm kinda new to this forum, found this site last month, but have been in remission for about a year and a half, thankfully. I was diagnosed with UC since about March 2007. My last Emergency room visit was just over a year ago. Last night I started getting abdominal pain, but it sits in one spot. My doctor prescribed me dicyclomine (bentyl) for the pain to help keep me away from Vicodin. I've tried that, but have needed to take vicodin from when I was very sick with this disease. The funny thing is I see a little difference with taking the vicodin, but not much. Has anyone been in this situation? I've never really had pain settle in 1 spot, but it is in one of the flare spots when I was recovering from my major flare when I was first diagnosed. I'm really not sure what to do. Kinda thinkng about calling the advice line with my doctor, but want to avoid that, but also don't want to miss any work either.

are you having any increased UC symptoms, like d or mucous or even blood? I have had painful cramps in my groin area before that i was sure was the start of a flare but nothing happenned. If you are in a lot of pain and you can't figure out why you should really contact your doc. hope you feel better soon

It's just the pain. It has gotten better than yesterday though, thankfully. I've had abdominal pain off and on in the past and that was it. Everything else seems to be on track which I think is odd, but of course everyone is different. It is also hard to tell weather it's just a muscle problem or abdomin prob cuz it's where a normal flare spot would be with me.

Discovered last night that it's a muscle pain than UC. The pain is in the left side below my stomach. Thankfully I figured out that it's muscle related.
