Has anyone had any luck with aloe vera supplements, specifically aloe-elite?

Its expensive and i have tried it. It doesn't work but i only used it for 2 weeks. Im going to give it a proper go next week.

Diagnosis Oct 07 and then Aug 08: Inditerminate Patches of Mild Colitis (including Rectum) - Currently Minor Bleeding
Medication: 1000mg Mesalazine Suppository at night.

it is expensive yes... and i tried it for over 4 months.. maybe 5+.. didnt work at all.
steph - 32 - female - UC since 2000
oh so close to remission... 5 days i am, 2 days not so sure, 5 days i am, 2 days....
Blood and D are gone, with only 1-2 bms a day! woot!
mesalazine granules 3g x1 a day (much nicer than a million tablets a day)
enteric coated fish oil -omega 3 (so they get all the way to my colon)
vitamin D3 x1 a day
prednisolone 25mg x1 a day (ick ick and did i say ick?) all done
tumeric capsules x3 a day
i eat what i want, when i want, and i get better every day!

I use aloe vera as lubricant for supposotories - can't say if it works on its own but either they or the supposotories certainly help

Ian...see you are taking Turmeric.  I bought some to sprinkle on my food...yukky taste.  Having any luck with it?

Tumericm Bowella, Propolis etc the list is endless and we are being taken for a ride.

Christine - I use tablets I wouldn't want to 'eat' any reasonable amount of turmeric every day. I would recommend Lamberts ones.

London - no not taken for a ride I tried it after reading about it including scientific articles on how it acts to reduce inflammation. I had blood for about 1 year every time I went to the loo and D as well every time. I had not seen a normal stool for a year. I took the turmeric 3x/day and the next day had perfectly formed stools and no blood - there was no way that was a co-incidence...

Sadly it seems to have less of an effect now - perhaps my immune system adapted or some bacteria adapted? Anyway it's reason enough for me to keep taking it.
