Excercise tips??

I am experiencing real bad joint pain, especially in my left lumber and right rib cage!The worst stiffness is in the mornings!
I'm the pred at the mo so that my adding to the sensitivity. But iwas ondering if anyone had any good excercise types to relax, loosen or strengthen those areas?

Since then i have flared seven times, each time taking 40mg of pred for a month to manage the flare. Now on my eighth dose since diagnosis!
Currently on Asacol 6 tabs a day

You should try some gentle yoga or pilates, either should help stretch you out, maybe even aquasizing (I'm not sure of your pain level so go with what you feel you can handle) something is always better than nothing, just be careful and make sure you're doing proper movements regardless of what kind of exercise you do, so you don't further injure yourself.

Thanks, i feel so drowsy, bloated and in pain dont know whether to blame the pred of the flare!

I have morning joint pain also. I am a runner so this seems to fix things for me. You could start out walking to loosen things up. Try increasing the distance each day and then try intervals of walking and running. Even a walk around the block is a good start. Start out with just a short distance to see if it helps. Good Luck!

Hmmm buy a new matress to start with? And simple stretching.
26y old male medically disharged USAF veteran.Diagnosed with UC (lower proctitis) in 2004.
 
Current daily treatment:                               Probiotics & supplements:
                                         50 Billion CFU's acidopholis&Bifidobacterium daily
2400mg oral asacol                                      Digestive enzymes
15mg prednisone tapering                             5grams of glutamine
75mg azathioprine                                       folic acid & calcuim with V-D
20mg Nexum                                               Whey protien

Diet:Little/no sugars, fats, carbs, caffine,sugars,yeast. Stay natural as possible.  
 
Results:1 Bowel movement in the morning no blood! Remission since 08Sept08
