Been a while since I wrote on here so here's an update. My surgery was supposed to be september 30th but I broke my collarbone on sept. 9th...lol. Life is awesome. Anyway in two weeks I will be having the first step of the 2 step process. Im scared, I dont know what to expect, Im afraid im going to be different somehow after all of this. But with LGD I know it has to be done. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
I miss the waves... I miss the trails... I miss the snowy mountains and the rock walls I used to scale... I miss being on stage and escaping from reality... I miss feeling healthy... I miss feeling sane. I pray every day for one day out of seven just to feel invincible. That day will come. Thank you all for being here... in this small corner of the internet universe, you've been so much help... hope i've been the same.

You will be different after surgery; you will be HEALTHY! Have patience with your recovery and start taking steps to enjoy those things that UC took from you.

dx proctitis in 1987
dx UC in 1991, was stable until 1998

1998 started prednisone, asacol, pentasa, nortriptylene, ativan, 6MP, rowasa enemas and suppositories, hydrocortisone enemas, tried the SCD diet, being a vegetarian, omega 3s, flax, pranic healing, yoga, acupuncture, probiotics

2000 lost all my B-12 stores and became anemic

2001 opted for j-pouch surgery- now living life med-free
