recently i havent been feeling the best. im in a small flare. no diareah but i see some blood from time to time and i get cramping. i was only taking asacol but my GI put me back on Salofalk 1 at bedtime. this morning i woke up had a bit of cramping but i was actually feeling good. i think the salofalk is starting to work. i was even able to take a 45 min walk this morning without even worrying about having a bathroom close by lol. is anyone else having a good day?

I guess so...I heard today that all my polyps from c-scope Monday came back negative. For the umpteenth time, no big deal....but my husband thinks it's cause for celebration so he is making me dinner tonight!!

My friend got a new kidney and he told us you can't imagine how good it feels to feel good when you've been feeling so bad.
We can relate!!
49 year old female attorney, diagnosed UC/pancolitis 1985, no surgery but much suffering.
Asacol/5ASA 2400 mg maintenance for 20+ years; use prednisone & Rowasa for flares.
August 2008 sought care of naturopathic doctor. Tested gluten intolerant and started gluten-free, soy, dairy-free diet. Replete probiotic.
Achieved remission for the first time in many, many years!?
Seemed so, but colonoscopy Oct. 6 proved not so, heavy inflammation in ascending colon & now recovering from irritation scope caused. Will be using Rowasa again. But I AM better.

I'm having a wonderful day! My remission continues, I have found a new GI and primary care doc (we moved recently) who I really like, and we received an offer on our house in Austin today. It's a great day!

Im having a pretty good day. Mild spasms in the gut, but no big deal. My recruiter called with a very exciting job offer-so Im keeping my fingers crossed. Ive got a pretty good job at the moment, but if this one works out, it will be the chance of a lifetime.

Indeed. Having a good week actually. Just posted about my new experience with remicade. I have about 3 BMs a day and they are kinda formed and no blood, no "extra" gas, passing gas without being on the toilet, and not having to have a conversation and say "OMG BRB!!! *run out the door to toilet holding the seat of my pants* ".

It's been a good week.

Everyday is a good day. I have too much to be thankful for. I may feel sick on the inside alot, but this disease will never get the best of me. Positive affirmations help sometimes too.

My day started a little bad, some insomnia that woke me up at 2am. I had to take an extremely difficult licensing exam for my profession today, so I was extremely anxious anyway. Plus I'm taking prednisone which cuts back on my sleep. But after calming my nerves this morning, I took a pretty large pred dose for me, 30mg, plus an Immodium, because this exam was going to take anywhere from 5 to 8 hours, and I didn't need to have the runs all day. I did have them for a copule of hours this morning, but after the Immodium, things dried up. I made it through my exam, and am feeling pretty good, although I'm pretty sleepy. Got some errands done after the test, treated myself to an early dinner out (bacon cheeseburger and fries), and still no stomach rumblings. I hate prednisone, but I tell ya, that stuff works wonders for my digestive system!

Mine started badly as my husband threw out his back, effectively cancelling our weekend trip. eyes    BUT!  Apparently waiting on someone hand and foot does wonders for my colitis.  I've only had three D's today, and I feel really good!  Plus, I had one of my favorite meals for lunch today:  crab cakes!!!

Glad to hear some of us are having an OK day. I am having pain, but hubby went to pick up some Rxs tonight and came home and noticed that there wasn't a co-pay on them (it would usually be about $130 for these 2 drugs). I called the pharmacy and the guy said they hadn't made a mistake, he seemed surprised I called, he even said "I appreciate your honesty". Apparently we (I) have hit the max on Rx co-pays for the year. I am so proud, lol. Hopefully that is it and it's not a glitch in the computer system at the insurance company.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Hey Cyn555, great to hear a positive note! Yep, it's a good day here too... I've finally taken the plunge & started meds, and much to my disbelief (I think I'm still in denial about the whole thing) they actually seem to be working. I don't suffer half as much as many on this forum, and now it's improving as well... it's also a sunny day, there's a festival on in town & things are pretty sweet. Booknut.
