Hi Everyone,
I haven't been on here in a long time but I need you all now to help me out. My last colonoscopy in July showed Left sided UC. I am not really sure even now after all these years the diffence of where its located.
Anyway, I haven't felt well in about 2 weeks. Cramping, even Constipated. Upset stomach, weak, headache and also nausuas. mad Does anyone else get like this durring a flare up? How do you deal with it and feel better.
I'm drinking tea now but what else can I drink to comfort my stomach and colon. Is there really is anything out there.
Thank you so much for any advice. I'm just feeling so sick this time around and I need some help.

Thanks Donna

Upset stomach, weak, headache and also nausuas!

This is what I get from 5ASA medications.  But never get constipated - yet!  Checking with your doctor, I guess. Sorry you are having these problems now.
Of course, it could be a virus or flu!

Ginger tea can help with nausea. An anti-spasmodic from your doc could help with cramping. Increase your soluable fiber and fluid intake for the constipation.

Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis spring 1999.

Maintenance dose sulfasalazine.
Probiotics, l-glutamine and fish oil caps. George's aloe vera juice. Oregano oil antibiotic, antiviral, antifungal. Long-term remission with only minor blips.

Peppermint tea is also good to settle the stomach. And I agree with Princesa on the fiber and fluids. The most common cause of constipation in all groups is inadequate fluid intake; remember, fluids with caffeine don't count because they take more water out of your body than they put in.

I drank a lot of tea today and I have to try and cut soda out of my life. I do drink an awful lot of it.
I do like juice boxes even though i'm an adult haha. So i can try drinking Capri Sun drinks again. I guess they are just flavored water.
